Our client is looking to strengthen their finance capability by recruiting a proactive part Qualified Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day and strategic financial operations of the organisation. Working closely with the Finance Controller, this position contributes to the delivery of accurate financial information.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Variance analysis and all related month‑end adjustments including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions.
• Prepare short‑ and long‑term cash flow forecasts, ensuring accuracy of financial planning information for leadership.
• Manage quarterly VAT submissions.
• Oversee payroll reconciliations for several group entities and ensure financial data aligns with internal reporting requirements.
• Take a key role in the completion of year‑end accounts and coordinate with external auditors throughout the audit process.
• Produce monthly reporting packs and financial insights used in senior management meetings.
• Provide financial input and analysis
• Undertake daily banking duties and provide absence cover to ensure smooth operation of the wider finance function.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests from management and proactively seek ways to streamline and enhance finance processes.

Experience & Knowledge

• Part‑qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA status (or working towards).
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to think strategically from the outset.
• Excellent communicator
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working to strict deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset.
• Strong Excel capability, with an interest in improving systems and processes.
